A huge thank you to Kingspan!!! It’s been a busy week, hence the lack of updates, but we wanted to quickly thank Kingspan who delivered a serious amount of insulation to site today - this is it squashed into the kitchen area. This delivery is part of Kingspan’s kind support for our project, with the remainder to come in a few days’ time. For anyone ordering lots of insulation, it’s probably worth remembering to stagger delivery given how much space is needed to store it all. These Kooltherm 130 sheets (130mm thick) will go in the roof and the external walls of the top 2 floors. Eventually all the external walls will have it in, topped off with another 50mm, giving them a U-value of 0.1 Lots more happening on site, including the underground heat exchange in the cellar and the disappearance of large chunks of wall - more to follow shortly.
